Position: Physical Therapist

Responsibilities

  • Perform initial and ongoing physical therapy evaluations according to the standards of practice as well as state standards.
  • Develop Plan of Treatment for each patient based on initial and ongoing evaluations including short and long term goals, collaboration demands of other staff members, and required patient and caregiver involvement.
  • Implement Plan of Treatment on a consistent schedule and adjust this schedule and plan according to patient progress.
  • Document patient progress according to approved medical documentation and facility documentation procedures.
  • Evaluate mobility, strength and current level of patient function, while setting goals to improve in these areas that are scaled to patient abilities and realistically attainable.
  • Report patient progress to patient, patient caregivers and loved ones, facility staff and healthcare professionals involved in ongoing treatment/care of patients.
  • Develop a plan for patients following completion of their Plan of Treatment with appropriate in-home care services.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications, etc.
  • Assist other facility staff members as needed to provide care and create a clean, orderly and effective environment for rehabilitation and physical therapy.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proven record of matching patient needs to treatment plans and proven record of implementing these plans safely and effectively.
  • Knowledge of responsible use of facility equipment, best practices for equipment use and preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Experience with recommending assistive equipment to patients
  • A strong sense of empathy, a compassionate outlook on PT and the ability to motivate patients into pushing their limits in a responsible, safe way.

 

 

Other Requirements

  • 2 years of experience providing physical therapy to patients in a fully equipped PT facility and who has the following qualifications:
  • BS or Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from a physical therapy program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association
  • Current Physical Therapy license in MA
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (with AED).

Position: Speech Language Pathology

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.

  • Educate patients and their families about communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

Position: MD, General Neurology

Reports to: President & Operations Manager

As a Neurologist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with neurological disorders, such as Epilepsy, Alzheimer’s, Multiple Sclerosis, and Parkinson’s disease. Neurologists are expected to have excellent problem-solving and clinical decision-making skills with the ability to communicate effectively to patients and staff. To ensure success, neurologists should have fantastic organizational and time management skills, and superb practical and diagnostic skills.

Qualifications And Skills

  • Medical degree and valid license to practice as a Neurologist in the relevant jurisdiction
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in neurology
  • Strong diagnostic and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Empathy and compassion for patients and their families
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Commitment to lifelong learning and professional development

Roles And Responsibilities

Position: Nurse Practitioner

Reports to: President & Operations Manager

Join our team as a Nurse Practitioner and play a vital role in overseeing nursing operations to ensure exceptional patient care delivery. Neurology Center of New England, PC., is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to manage our thriving clinical team.

 

The Nurse Practitioner develops, implements, and monitors programs, policies, and procedures to ensure the highest quality of patient care and satisfaction through operational efficiency and best utilization. The practice serves patients with a variety of neurological disorders. The Nurse Practitioner will work in partnership with all clinical managers and physicians with the support and direction of the Medical Director and VP of Operations.

 

Responsibilities

  • Analyze internal and external data and information to identify opportunities for improving services, patient outcomes, and patient satisfaction.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to clinical staff.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff at all levels.
  • Assess patient status by obtaining health history through patient/family interviews and chart reviews.
  • Assess presenting illness, risk factors, and family history, psychosocial situation, and cultural factors; and perform appropriate physical examination.
  • Assist with ordering appropriate laboratory diagnostic and perform other screening tests.
  • Seek other information as needed, including consultation with physicians and other clinicians for evaluation of illness.
  • Integrate data to determine diagnosis and therapeutic plan, including identification of any health risks.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans by prescribing/dispensing medications and/or injections in compliance with medical practice guidelines and state laws.
  • Provide guidance to patients/family regarding medications and treatments.
  • Educate patients regarding health promotion/illness prevention.
  • Provide recommendations to appropriate community resources to meet patient/family needs.
  • Assist with prescriptions, prior authorizations, disability paperwork, and returning phone calls. This will include cross-coverage with other APPs/MDs during vacations.
  • Document, code, and bill as appropriate.
  • Other related duties as requested/required.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • The Nurse Practitioner must have a valid license as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Graduate degree from an accredited nursing school, such as a Master of Science in nursing
  • Must have a current license to practice as a nurse practitioner in the state of MA
  • Must have the necessary specialty certification
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and other medical staff
  • Strong leadership skills, self-confidence, and ability to remain calm in stressful situations
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Exceptional active listening skills
